How to handle rejection?

Do you know all successful people have this amazing ability to handle rejection in their life and business? This is one quality that you need to develop as sooner or later, you will need it.


This is a really important skill to develop in business because it would have to be used a number of times before you will be successful. Don’t get fooled by the flashy cars and huge bungalows that are used by Internet marketers and successful people all around the world. The only way that a person can really become successful is the way that they handle rejection.



The way to handle rejection is to understand that it has nothing to do with you, your product or your service.





Rejection really means that your product or service is not the right one for that person at that time. It has nothing to do with how good or bad your product is or how good or bad you are as an individual or as a company.


Also, an important point to note is that it does not necessarily mean that this same person is never ever going to use your product or service. There may come a time where your product or service will be the only product that will offer the solution that the client is looking for.

Your role here is to truly not give up on the client. Your job is to be persistent and offer your product or service while giving lots of value and staying in communication with them.

Have you yourself use a product after having rejected it for a number of times before? Have you signed up for something after rejecting it earlier?


It’s a very common phenomena that you may not get the sale when your potential client first time sees your product or your service however if you decide to break the communication and never ever follow up to keep in contact you have wasted all the time it took for you to get in touch with the client.


The most challenging sale is always the first sale because once they buy one of your products and see the value that they offer then it’s very unlikely that they will reject your other products.


Hence the only way to handle rejection is to understand their viewpoint and agree that it may not be the right product or service for them at that time. It’s also important to convey to them that whenever they decide to make a significant change you are ready to help them.

Rejection is never permanent. It is temporary and that to it is because of not reaching the right audience or the audience not knowing the benefits of your products.
